Lee & Sam Property Care ("we," "our," or "us") operates landspropertycare.com and communicates with clients via phone, email, and text message. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information across all of those channels. Please read it carefully.

Overview

By using our Site or providing your contact information to us, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use our Site or submit your contact information.

We are a licensed general contractor based in Chicago, Illinois. We use the information we collect solely to provide our services, communicate with prospective and existing clients, and improve our business operations. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Information You Provide Directly

When you fill out our quote request form, contact form, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect:

  • Property address or service location
  • Project description and budget details
  • Preferred contact method and availability

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our Site, we may automatically collect certain technical information including IP address and general geographic location, browser type and version, pages visited and time spent, referring website or source, and device type and operating system. This information is collected through standard web server logs and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

We use the information we collect to respond to quote requests and inquiries, schedule consultations and project estimates, communicate about your project and our services, send follow-up communications related to your inquiry, improve our website and user experience, analyze website traffic and usage patterns, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Phone & Text Communications

By providing your phone number through our quote request form or any other form on our Site, you expressly consent to receive communications from Lee & Sam Property Care via phone call and/or text message (SMS/MMS) at the number provided. These communications may include:

  • Responses to your quote or service inquiry
  • Appointment confirmations and scheduling reminders
  • Project updates and follow-up communications
  • Promotional messages about our services (infrequent)

We do not use automated dialers or mass-marketing text platforms. All communications originate directly from our team. Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service from us.

Our text communications comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable FCC regulations. If you have questions about our communications practices, please contact us directly.

Third-Party Services

Formspree

Our quote and contact forms are processed through Formspree. When you submit a form, your information is transmitted to Formspree's servers per their privacy policy. We encourage you to review Formspree's Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

Hearth Financing

We partner with Hearth to offer financing options to clients. If you choose to explore financing, you will be directed to Hearth's platform. Hearth's collection and use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not collect or store any financial information you provide to Hearth.

Mapping Services

Our website uses Leaflet.js with CartoDB map tiles to display our service area. These services may collect standard usage data per their respective privacy policies. No personally identifiable information is transmitted via our map features.

Cookies & Do Not Track

Cookies

Our Site uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to improve your experience. We use essential cookies (necessary for the Site to function) and analytics cookies (Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our Site). You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies for ad targeting.

Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit Do Not Track (DNT) signals to websites. Because there is currently no industry-wide standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, our Site does not currently alter its data collection practices based on DNT signals. We will revisit this position as standards develop. You may also opt out of Google Analytics tracking via the link above.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our Site uses HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. Access to client information is limited to team members who need it to respond to your inquiry or manage your project.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, provide our services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Specifically:

  • Quote request and inquiry information is retained for up to 3 years for business record purposes
  • Active client project records are retained for up to 7 years to satisfy contractor licensing and warranty obligations
  • Analytics data is subject to Google Analytics' own retention schedule
  • Email communications are retained in our email system for up to 5 years

When information is no longer needed for the purposes above, we delete or anonymize it in a commercially reasonable manner.

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
  • Opt-out of communications — unsubscribe from email communications at any time via the unsubscribe link, or reply STOP to opt out of text messages
  • Portability — request a machine-readable copy of your data where technically feasible

California & Illinois Residents

California (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you additional rights including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

Illinois (BIPA)

Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) governs the collection of biometric identifiers such as fingerprints, facial geometry, and retina scans. Lee & Sam Property Care does not collect, store, or use any biometric information from our website visitors or clients. BIPA does not apply to our current data practices.

Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at info@landspropertycare.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify active clients directly via email.
