Every Tile Project
We Handle

Bathroom Wall & Floor Tile

Full bathroom tile installation — shower walls, floor tile, niches, benches, and accent strips. We waterproof shower substrates properly before any tile goes down.

Kitchen Backsplash

Subway tile, penny tile, mosaic, and large-format backsplash installation — behind ranges, countertops, and full wall-to-ceiling applications.

Floor Tile

Ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone floor tile throughout kitchens, bathrooms, entryways, mudrooms, and living areas — including heated floor system integration.

Large-Format Tile

24x24, 24x48, and larger format tile installation with precision leveling systems to achieve the flat, lippage-free surface large formats require.

Custom Patterns & Layouts

Herringbone, chevron, basketweave, and other pattern layouts — we plan and execute complex tile patterns with precise cuts and consistent joint spacing throughout.

Substrate Preparation

Cement board, Schluter systems, and waterproofing membranes installed correctly before tile — the foundation that determines whether your tile lasts or fails.

Our Tile Installation
Process

01

Layout Planning

We plan your tile layout before setting a single piece — calculating centered layouts, minimizing cuts at focal points, and planning pattern directions to achieve the best visual result.

02

Substrate Preparation

We install proper cement board or waterproofing membrane, tape seams, and ensure a flat, solid substrate. This step determines your tile's longevity more than any other.

03

Setting & Grouting

Tile is set with the correct thinset for the material and substrate, leveled precisely, and grouted with the joint width and grout color you've selected. Grout is sealed on completion.

04

Final Inspection

We inspect every section for lippage, grout consistency, and clean lines. Any tile cut to less than half is replaced where visible. We don't sign off until the installation is right.

FAQs

Have more questions? We're happy to walk through your tile project in detail.

Call Us Now
What tile types do you install? +

We install ceramic, porcelain, natural stone (marble, travertine, slate), glass tile, and cement tile across all applications — floors, walls, showers, backsplashes, and outdoor areas.

How long does tile installation take? +

A standard bathroom tile installation takes 3–5 days. Kitchen backsplash takes 1–2 days. Full floor tile throughout a home takes 5–10 days depending on square footage and pattern complexity.

Do I need to waterproof before tile in a shower? +

Absolutely — and any contractor who skips this step is setting you up for a failed shower within a few years. We install proper waterproofing membranes before all shower tile applications, no exceptions.

Can you tile over existing tile? +

Sometimes — it depends on the existing tile's condition, the substrate beneath, and the height implications at thresholds. We assess existing conditions before recommending overlay vs. demo.

How much does tile installation cost in Chicago? +
Every tile installation project is different. We've completed work across a wide range of budgets — from targeted updates to complete gut rehabs — and we build our estimates around what you actually need, not a one-size-fits-all number. The best way to get an honest figure is a consultation where we walk the space together.
