Call Us NowBasic grab bar installation typically does not require a permit. Structural modifications like doorway widening, ramp construction, and full bathroom conversions do require permits — we handle all of them.
Grab bars must be anchored into wall studs or proper blocking — drywall anchors are not structurally adequate for load-bearing grab bar installation. Where studs don't align with needed bar placement, we install proper blocking before bar installation.
Yes — we frequently coordinate with OTs who are assessing a client's needs. OT recommendations help us understand functional requirements, and we translate those into construction specifications.
Yes — the City of Chicago and Cook County offer several programs for qualifying homeowners. We can provide information about current programs during your assessment.
